AWS services are running in 2 regions in China, such as Beijing and Ningxia. The Beijing region is operated by Sinnet, and the Ningxia region is operated by NWCD.
There is no direct connection between AWS Global and AWS China. So, we can say that AWS China has no direct access or connectivity with other AWS regions outside of China. An account created for AWS global regions cannot be accessed by AWS China regions. Similarly, accounts created for both regions within China cannot work for AWS global services. So in this regard, customers who want to use both regions in China are required to make separate account credentials to get the services.
In order to get an AWS cloud account in China, there are some requirements established by the Chinese government:
Getting cloud accounts in China is not straightforward; it is a tough process, and lots of requirements are needed. Globally, getting a cloud account takes minutes; in China, it can take up to months.

During the last 5 years, we have been supporting worldwide companies on their cloud journeys to China. Our main service offerings include cloud account creation, cloud professional services, managed cloud services, cybersecurity, and compliance.
If your company or organization does fulfill all requirements, the following step-by-step guide shows in detail how to create an AWS account in the China region.
